GSA case description display of envelope permutations
In envelope cases, results are given by permutation rather than the load case no. Allow display by case numbers.

Chart views have "case" drop down selector (and footfall charts have node selection drop down)
Chart views could be made smarter by having drop down menus to select the case to plot, e.g. the modal analysis or footfall case - like the graphic view has. For footfall results it would be also good to have excitation and excitation node selection. This would remove the need to go through the toolbar menu every time the same chart needs to be plotted, for a different case or node selection.

1 voteI’ve changed this to a ‘BIG idea’ as it would have a big impact on how chart views are handled. Currently the chart view is pretty dumb, simply displaying data that is passed to it and allowing some formatting adjustments.

GSA assemblies can include areas
Allow assemblies to include areas from the design layer. With this addition cores can be defined using areas with topologies based on grid nodes - this would make it very fast to change storey heights (in the grid plane dialogue) and remesh the core with assemblies pre-defined. This behaviour would be a bit like how ETABs works.
Currently the ability to use grid nodes that move with storey definitions doesn't match up with core walls meshed between stories.
