How can we improve Oasys Structural software in a BIG way?

Prestress design module

Add features in GSA allowing for analysis and design of prestress concrete (pre-tensioned and post-tensioned); tendons , losses calculation, ULS and SLS checks for prestress concrete members (flexure, shear, torsion), export analysis data into the drawings format etc.

        In relation to Post tension design, there is two approach for modeling the design strip either by doing middle strip and column strip (EC) or Full Trib width (ACI). All software design base on full Trib Width although some code suggest to be designed base on column and middle strip.

        I agree with Sammy that what we are looking for is a comprehensive concrete design approach. What this requires is:

        - prestress design as described in this idea
        - time dependent properties of concrete (creep and shrinkage)
        - cross section staging (e.g. reinforced concrete slab cast on top of prestressed beam)

        If this were combined with the integration of AdSEC properties into GSA which is one of the other big ideas this could provide a step change in the functionality of GSA which could even leapfrog it ahead of our competitors in this area.
