Direct output of equivalent reaction stiffnesses for wall elements
See also "Direct output of equivalent subgrade reaction stiffnesses". Pdisp allows the input of horizontal loading on a vertical plane. Equivalent subgrade reaction stiffnesses (reaction springs) for wall elements could be obtained from applied horizontal pressure and resulting movements.

Changing slope angle interactively on graphical input
At present , we need to change coordinates of strata to change slope section inclination angle , it will be great if we can change slope angle on screen directly. This will be useful for mining engineering problems where height of the bench remains constaant but user want to change slope angle.

Calculate ground movements above polygon excavation surface level
Currently immediately above the surface level of an excavation the calculated ground movement = 0mm. It would be helpful to have the ground movements calculated extend above the top of the polygon excavation

Ability to input both compression and tension loads in the same file
It is currently not possible to apply both tensile and compressive loads in the same file to compare against the calculated resistances. The programme subtracts the tensile loads which are applied as negative loads from the compressive loads which are positive instead of recognising them as separate loads.

Multiprocessing and result plotting improvements
Add parallel processing capability to SIREN so that two, four or eight time histories can be run in parallel (depending on processor capabilities) rather than sequentially. (NB: This capability is currently a feature of Deepsoil).
Consider adding more than one soil profile for analysis to an input file, as we typically run three versions of a soil profile to consider uncertainty in the input stiffness profile (upper, lower bounds and best estimate). The same time histories are run through each profile.
With typically three stiffness profiles considered per soil profile, and 7-pairs of records (14 No.) per profile, and often…

Minimum equivalent fluid pressure
A new update allows you to edit the MEFP at each stage and in each material. However, it defaults to y0=0 at each stage and therefore is not applied unless you go through each stage and change this. Please can the MEFP default to the top node level unless specified otherwise?

A programme or Programmes to design anchored sheetpiled walls with releiving slab and anchor.
When I worked in OAP's Tottenham Court Road Office in Dockland Development days, I askred the Geotechnical Department about which programme to use to design a steel retaining wall, with relieving slab, and ground anchors. The relieving slab was connected to the anchors, which together with the raking piles, provided latral resistance to the sheet-piles. I was told my design was so economical, it embarassed a director. Can you provide the programmes to simulate the piles and slab, to simulate the sheetpile bending moments, sher ,etc and anything else. I designed the anchors without using a computer.

Add displacement tolerance to improve curvature output for building damage results
If a building has near-linear displacement, the checks in the program can cause the output to "flip" between sagging and hogging. Suggest adding a tolerance to this check (user-editable).

Graphical output shall show all wall dimensions on screen
Hi , currently graphical output is not showing wall dimensions, its good if it shows all dimensions and can be exportable to auto cad program

Limit on tension in props
Please can you allow a limit to be set to prevent props going into tension? Currently a multi-propped wall with no embedment doesn't fail as the top prop goes into tension.

Extend Pile to model embedded retaining walls as a rectangular panel
Where embedded pile retaining walls carry axial loads, it is common practice to analyse the section as a rectangular panel rather than individual circular piles (with a reduced end bearing co-efficient akin to a deep strip footing).
To date, we have achieved this by modelling an under-ream pile with different shaft and base diameters. However, it would be simpler and clearer if Pile could analyse a rectangular section. This would also be beneficial for calculation of axial resistance for diaphragm wall panels.
Refer to method of Hov et al from 2010 DFI Conference (attached).
