Geotechnical feedback

Please leave feedback and development suggestions for the Oasys Geo programs or vote on existing items – thanks for your input!

Note that the Knowledge Base includes summarized development plans.

How can we improve Oasys geotechnical software?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  1. Include consolidation settlement in Pdisp

Separate out elastic, primary consolidation and secondary consolidation settlement (not just E values).

      • Direct output of equivalent subgrade reaction stiffnesses

Pdisp is often used to derive subgrade reaction stiffnesses for input into GSA by manually dividing the applied pressure by the settlement results to calculate the equivalent subgrade reaction springs. The conversion could be built into PDsip itself and a subgrade reaction contour could be plotted. There’s a possible automation linkage with GSA.

        • Direct output of equivalent reaction stiffnesses for wall elements

See also "Direct output of equivalent subgrade reaction stiffnesses". Pdisp allows the input of horizontal loading on a vertical plane. Equivalent subgrade reaction stiffnesses (reaction springs) for wall elements could be obtained from applied horizontal pressure and resulting movements.
